How does an elephant get on to a tightrope?
Elephants are the heaviest terrestrial mammals. They reach a height of four meters and a weight of seven tons. Yet a simple mobile crane with a bearing load of 12-tons is sufficient to lift an elephant onto a tightrope.

Why does he not fall off?
As long as the elephant keeps his balance, he will stay on the rope provided that the rope is a wire rope like those used for cable cars.

And what is an elephant even doing there?
Who would lift the heaviest terrestrial mammal onto a wire rope with a mobile crane hoping the elephant can hold his balance? Nobody!

These components are manageable and can be used for individual tasks. The composition of these components leads to a viable solution – usually after going through iteration loops.

Taking action.
A solution is viable when those implementing understand the solution. A solution is understood when those who implement were also part of the solution process.

PARTNER

Hubertus Scherer worked for 13 years as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). As a leading member of the Financial Services, Organization and Strategy practice groups, he was responsible for projects in the areas of strategy development, implementation of transformational programs and human resources. His client portfolio ranges from international industrial and commercial enterprises to the German health care industry and regional financial service providers. In 2007/2008, he was a Recruiting Director with BCG.

Mr Scherer obtained a business degree from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel (EBS) and the Handelshochschule Leipzig (HHL). He studied abroad at the James Madison University (JMU) in Virginia/ USA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Major in Computer Science). Additionally, he attended the MBA-program of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) in Hong Kong/ China. After obtaining his degree in business Mr. Scherer was inter alia guest scientist at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia/ USA and a graduate of Harvard Business School (HBS) General Management Program in Boston/ USA.
